CNN —Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff has called for transparency around the investigation into allegations of misconduct leveled against Red Bull boss Christian Horner. An independent investigation was launched by Red Bull in February after Horner was accused of engaging in inappropriate behavior towards a member of the racing team. The Red Bull parent company in Austria has declined to comment on the investigation or provide a timeline for the outcome despite the season starting in Bahrain on March 2. At a press conference on Wednesday, Wolff was reportedly the only one out of five team principals who addressed the Horner investigation. Earlier this month, Dutch news outlet De Telegraaf reported that Horner had been accused of inappropriate behavior towards a member of Red Bull Racing, according to several unnamed sources.

CNN —Evidence from a 2,000-foot-long ice core reveals that the West Antarctic Ice Sheet shrank suddenly and dramatically around 8,000 years ago, according to new research — providing an alarming insight into how quickly Antarctic ice could melt and send sea levels soaring. Lewis Hamilton surprised Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff when he broke the news over breakfast that he was leaving the F1 team for Ferrari but there is “no grudge” between them, Wolff said Friday. Hamilton is leaving Mercedes at the end of the upcoming season to join Ferrari for 2025 in a move announced Thursday. Hamilton has raced for Mercedes since 2013 and won six of his seven titles with the team. Wolff said he has no concerns about involving Hamilton with Mercedes’ car development, even with Hamilton due to join a rival.
